Terms of Use
The terms on which this reference is made available.
Using the digest
Apex Legal Digest is published for informational use. By using it you accept these terms and the disclaimer, which forms part of them.
Permitted use
Read it, print it, quote it. You may quote a reasonable extract with attribution to the Apex Legal Digest and a link to the entry. You may not republish whole entries, mirror the site, or present its material as your own or as another publication's.
Automated bulk copying — scraping the digest to build a competing library or a corpus for resale — is not permitted under these terms.
Intellectual property
Entry text, the Apex name and mark, the design system and the original diagrams are ours. Statutes, regulations and decisions described or cited are not — they are public law, and each entry points to the official version.
Photographs are used under the licences recorded on the image credits page and remain the property of their creators. Your right to reuse a photograph comes from its own licence, not from these terms.
No advice, no relationship
Nothing here is legal advice and using the site creates no attorney–client relationship. This is set out fully in the disclaimer.
Accuracy and availability
We work hard to be accurate and correct errors when we find them, but we do not warrant that every statement is complete, current, or applicable to your circumstances. The site is provided as is and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Apex Legal Digest is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content.
Governing law
We do not name a governing jurisdiction, because doing so would assert something about where this publication operates that we are not in a position to assert. Mandatory consumer-protection rules in your own jurisdiction are unaffected by these terms.
Changes
These terms may be revised. Continuing to use the site after a revision means accepting the revised terms.
