Privacy

A short policy, because the site collects almost nothing.

The short version

Apex sets no cookies, runs no analytics, serves no advertising, embeds no third-party scripts and has no forms. There is nothing to opt out of, which is why there is no consent banner.

What actually happens when you visit

  • Your browser requests pages, stylesheets, fonts and images from this site's own server. Nothing loads from any other domain.
  • The hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs — address, URL, user agent, timestamp — as every web server does. They are used for security and troubleshooting, are not combined with anything else, and are not used to build a profile.
  • Nothing is written to your browser: no cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting.

Search runs entirely in your browser against a static index your browser has already downloaded. Queries are never transmitted to this site, to us, or to any search provider, and are not logged anywhere.

Images

Photographs are downloaded, cropped and served from this site's own server. Nothing is hotlinked, so viewing an entry sends no request to the image's original host.

Links away from Apex

When you follow a link to another site, that site's own practices apply and it may set cookies or track you. We have no control over and no visibility into that.

If you write to us

We receive what you send and keep it only as long as needed to reply and to record a correction. There is no mailing list to be added to. Please do not send sensitive personal information or case documents — email is not secure and Apex is not your lawyer.

Changes

If this site ever adds analytics, advertising, or a form, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what is collected before the change goes live, not afterwards.
